The weights won't do anything if you didn't mark where the old balancer was prior to removal. You need to get this right because you're going to do it again with the OEM balancer. I upgraded to the power bond balancer and so far all looks good. no vibration.
That's what I have on mine is the PB and it's just plug and play.

Ok, fortunately I did mark the old balancer positioning to the shaft before I removed it. I'm just trying to make sure I understand the old balancer to new balancer alignment before I start putting the weights in.

Hi all, I finally got around to putting my 01 back together from the harmonic balancer issue; Everything seems fine except the steering is really hard. I actully pulled the gear and had it rebuilt since it was leaking and it had to be moved to get the balancer work done. Could this hard steering be an indication of air in the steering system? Thanks.

Yes it could very well be....make sure Power Steering Resv. is full, cap it off, start the car up and turn the wheel, lock to lock several times to bleed the air out of the system, check level and top off if needed.
That should do the trick
