O2 sensor clearance with headers
I installed AR 1 3/4" headers in my '02 Targa and found that the original driver side Bosch sensor was rubbing against the engine. I replaced both sensors with NTK sensors which are thinner and neither one rubs at this point but one is still Very close, like maybe 5mm close. The other side is significantly better, so there's likely some alignment issues with the headers. I'd rather not loosen the headers to make any correction if I don't have to, but I'm worried that there might be some movement between the headers and motor and the sensor will get beat up. Anyone have any experience with how much clearance is needed for the O2 sensors?
