My bolt showed up today it was in an OEM GM package. While waiting for the bolt I pulled the Intake and replaced the Oil Pressure switch. While Off I found the PCV hoses broke or leaking in 2 places.
Got it all back together, refilled Oil,power steering fluid, Antifreeze. It started right up Oil pressure stabilized at 57 Lbs. Ran it a few minutes than added more antifreeze and Steering fluid. Decided it was time to go around the block. It seemed good. 1/2 way around the service engine soon came on. I also punched up digital water temp and it was getting warm, Pulled over to add more antifreeze. and noticed the belt had broken. the belt had 70000 on it was was on when the Balancer went bad. I also had NO lights the HVAC console. The A/C belt stayed in place. it was 2:00 AM. I Called it a Night. Ill replace the belt and report back,
The good: New Timing chain is Correctly in place, Oil Pickup tube is Good. and New Oil pressure switch works.
After running all over the Metroplex. I arrived home to replace the belt.. The first new replacement was the incorrect belt in the correct sleeve. Started it up and everything was fine. But still getting Low Coolent error, The holding tank is full to the top. Than it is my belief that the 1/8" NYLON Tube is not plugged back in.It must operate the flappers inside the HVAC.
Pulled the manifold and found the NOW famous Vacuum line unplugged. I extended mine with some tubing I use on my turbine's for model aircraft. Put it back together and it is now working. Only thing left is the "low coolant level". this time while it was apart I removed the throttle manifold and cleaned it. I found a missing bolt. one of the 3 bolts missing to that manifold.
