I have a 90mm TB i've had on the car since 2005. I just started to get P1515 REP. Does anyone know how to determine it's bad. Is there any procedures to verify it's the TB and not something else. It doesn't do it all the time. When it does throw 1515 is always above 6k rpm. 1999 c5 6mn.
I was pushing 22-24psi boost and i did not have this problem, but it seems like the problem started happening when i turned the boost up. Could be conincidence. I had the tune looked at and tuner said the tune looks good. He said to check TB but i don't know how. Any help would be Appreciated. Thanks
O.K. has any body heard that floor it and rev your engine to rev limit in neutral and if it doesn't throw 1515 code it's not a bad TB????????

I'm not the best at diagnosis, but I have a ls2 TB and it gives me trouble sometimes. What I do know about them is that they are sensitive to absolutely anything that touches the blade during operation. For me there was a little build up over time around where the blade operates. It would throw the car into reduced power mode. A simple removal and clean made a huge difference. Eventually it happened again. This time I even sanded the area and was able to remove some burs and stuff that could have hindered the blades travel.
I suggest a detailed clean of the TB first and then see if the issue goes away for now.
