Default help! driver door control module

My driver door controls arent working. They worked a few days ago but have since then stopped. I thought it might be the fuse but the fuse is good. They connection pieces were clean. Am I dealing with a short some where? whats the best way to test it? How often does something like this go out? Doesnt look like water could have gotten in there.

Any suggestion would be great!

I have worked on a number of door issues. There are 2 fuses for the door. Check both of them.

Not at home with my info now.

What connections did you check?

I checked the fuse box on the passenger side. I checked all them but made sure to for sure check i believe 30-34 which is the door fuses. I pulled the codes with my obp II scanner (i think thats the name) and nothing came up. I just check the connection plug from the door to the module. Seemed everything on the connector was in tack no loose wires and they were connected, although I didnt check the electricity current. (as thats where my knowledge stops haha)

To enter the Diagnostic Display function perform the following steps:
1. Turn ON the ignition switch, with the engine OFF.
2. Press the RESET button to acknowledge any warning messages present.
3. Press the OPTIONS button on the Driver Information Center (DIC) and hold.
4. While holding the OPTIONS button press the FUEL button 4 times within a 5 second period.
5. System will first enter automatic display mode followed by the manual display mode.

So I checked the fuses visually they looked good. I checked it with an Ohm meter at 20m and all of them were about 1.6-1.8. I checked the measurement of pretty much all the fuses and they all measured about the same. Again electricity is new to me so I'm learning on the fly! So any advice at what Im looking at would be great

Ok, thanks. Your scanner will not pull anything related to the this since it is for engine codes. You can pull all the C5 codes from the dash. Try this:

We'll maybe revisit the connector later since you did not disconnect it to look for any bad pins.

We'll probably be going into the door later. In the interim you need to get a Multimeter and go on YouTube and learn how to read voltages and resistance.

My driver door panel went out and then I got Reduced Power on my DIC. Turned out to be a bad driver door harness.

I already repulled up the codes. I just didnt realize the scanner didnt pull up all the codes. check it out a couple posts up. Ohm is resistant right? I checked that as well in the fuse box but havent checked it in the door yet.

Broken wire in the door jam harness or loose pin not making a solid contact?

That would be an open circuit not a short.

Glad you found it.
