Default Kinda Budget Build Viability...........

My 01 C5Z06 is getting a little underpowered compared to my other cars (I know this is stupid!) & I am thinking of updating it a little. I have the normal bolt-ons & am at 375 rwhp on a normal dyno. I have a extra mint stroke LS-6 crank, a extra set of 01 243 heads with dual springs, mamo ported Fast intake & a good LS-2 block, but would rather go to the bigger bore of the LS-3. I am thinking of buying a new LS3 block, Having Advanced Induction do their 226 CNC work keeping my lightweight valves, using Scat Pro Mod Rods & good pistons with a medium size cam. This would net a 376 cube. I would think that would bump up the torque numbers pretty good. Oh, this is just for street & spirited driving. What do you guys think????????

Well,, When you start adding power, heres the rule:

Cheep Fast Reliable,,, Pick two cause you cant have all three.

The list of things that you will or SHOULD have to invest in to support that power increase is pretty big.

I went from 390 RWHP to 450 The clutch, torque tube , differential, mounts, balancer, valve train, injectors will all need MOD attention to support that level of power increase. Traction and suspension will also hinder power transfer.

Mod your bank account first and do it all at once the right way.

When you put the engine back together, I strongly recommend using ARP Head Studs!
