Default headlight adjustment and opening issues

I am in the process of ordering a new brass gear for my 04 vette as sometimes the right headlight will not raise unless you turn motor a couple of turns. As turns out I discovered one of the plastic bumpers on the motor stop was missing. I plan to replace the gear but was just wondering If that was the problem all along. Plastic gear looked good. Also, anyone have a fix for a stripped out shaft on the vertical headlight adjustment? Is that a unit that can be purchased?

You can cut a piece of rubber hose for the stop.
My plastic gear in 1 headlight was grrrrr ing when I would turn off the headlights but when I took it apart to replace it with the anodized aluminum one I didn't see any visual wear like I expected.
I replaced both even though the other side was a new motor.

The headlight adjuster is not available separately unfortunately
but if you take it out which is not hard you can use a vice and a socket to press it one way or the other.
I had to do this as both of my adjusters were siezed.
I have the Radioflyer reworked projectors which are very nice and I left about 3/8" of the threaded rod sticking out the back.
You may have to do this a few times to get it right.

I had my own HID's and ballasts and bought just the housings but if you want only those you have to contact them.
