Broken shifter.....bummer!
My shifter moves, but the car is stuck in drive in my driveway. Is there a way to grip the cable with vice grips and move the actuator on the transmission to put the car in neutral or park to start the car and more importantly, move it to a repair shop or is it something I can repair with average mechanical skills? I got the console apart and this is that I found inside where the cable appears to be broken under the armrest area. I have a '98 automatic coupe.
