About a month ago, I became the proud owner of my dream car- a 2002 Corvette Z06. It's the best car I've ever owned, so much better than my old Camaro SS. But yesterday i got the dreaded 'service column lock'. I searched the internet, finding that sometimes a new battery fixes this, so today I was going to buy a new one, even though my Optima seems to work fine. Then I found this thread:
I experienced a column lock issue once years ago, but was able to reset and unlock it. Yesterday I decided to order a Column Lock Bypass, then saw the thread about the LMC5 and ordered it instead. I don't want to ever have to deal with this issue down the road.
