Clutch Noise (Help please)
I have a 2001. It has developed a noise either in the clutch or slave cylinder. Sometime all works perfect and sometimes with the clutch engaged it makes a squealing noise and creates a slight grinding noise when it's put in gear. I also at times hear a little rattling sound. The clutch does not slip. Could this possibly be a slave cylinder problem? Thoughts please.

Cheap part - but that trans has to be dropped.
Had to deal with that in my GTO recently. Not sure how bad the job is on a C5.

I replaced the fluid by extracting, replacing with new then pumping the clutch several times. This was done seven times before the new fluid remained clear after pumping the clutch. I drove the car once and the noise was reduced. I will drive more and see if the noise stops completely. Stay tuned.
