Hey everyone, is a 200 shot of nitrous too much for a 2003 Z? It has been tuned and after market mods such as Kooks long tube headers & Vararam air box?

The general consensus seems to be that a 200 shot is flirting with disaster. Plenty of people have done it for years but some aren't so lucky. Headers and CAI have no real affect on how much nitrous works in an LS1.

Do a search on here and LS1tech for all the information you've ever wanted to read on the topic.

Okay thanks Tech, I'll read the other threads. Thanks! But maybe a 100 shot!

And by the way Tech. It's a LS6, maybe that will make a bit of a difference!

Get a fuel cell and run a higher octane gas just for the nitrous, 200 shot on good fuel has been done. I was going to start on 150 shot and up to 200 for the good races but I sold it all for FI.

Make sure your tune is SPOT on and you pull the proper amount of timing.

I have been told that 150 is about the limit for a stock LS1 or LS6. You are putting some serious strain on stock parts including rod bolts. Make sure you are getting enough fuel to the motor too.
