So, looking at my 99, 130,ooo vette, I thought I had a tranny issue, took it in and the tranny was fine, they scanned it and had a code that said there was an issue with piston #6? Nothing on the DIC? But, the car does idle with a hiccup, thought maybe a vacuum issue, again no codes. Any suggestions what to look for? How would I know if it was an bad injector and no codes on the DIC, but yet they scanned one?
It was cylinder no#6. Do I replace one injector, or all.

A misfire code P0300 would turn on the check engine light.
There are no DTC for individual cylinders.
But, they can scan each cylinder with their equipment.
If you had a partially plugged injector, the entire bank would compensate for it.
Could be a coil, wire, plug, low compression on that cyl etc.
Thanks RonSSNova, that was helpful. They didn't really suggest anything since the guy was a transmission specialist. I guess I will follow your suggestion. The engine light has randomly come on an off a couple of times. But, there have been no codes on the DIC (as mentioned above, I know how to check, and while I do have a few codes, nothing to do with the engine performance aspect of the car).Guess I'll start with the plug and work up. Thanks for the help!
That was easy. After I figured out the cylinder order, looked at #6, and the plug wire worked its way off? Not sure how that happened, but it did, and all is well.
Thanks again
