Key Fobs not working after...???

Key Fobs not working after...???
After working on my fathers C5 (97 Coupe) the key fobs don't work.
This is what I did:
-Disconnected the battery,
-Took all the panels and carpet out on the whole car (up to the dash),
-Installed sound deadening material almost everywhere,
-Put in a new Hurst shifter,
-Took the dash out and installed gauge bezels,
-Put everything back in just the way it came out.
The fobs don't work now.
Did I cover up a receiver anntanna? Where is that at?
Is there some kind of reprogramming of the fobs after disconnecting the battery for so long? (three days)

could be because you pulled the battery? I thought the reciever antenna was in the back of the car?? maybe Im wrong. :confused:
I unplugged my battery once and they quit working... sit outside the car and hold lk+unlk for 10 secs and see if it beeps.

Do the key fob relearn according to the instructions in the owners manual and you should be OK to go! Good Luck...

You have to synchronize the fob with the car after a battery disconnect. Hold both the "lock" and "unlock" buttons down for approximately seven seconds until the horn toots, and you're good to go.
