I have an A&A Super Charged '99 Coupe. I was driving from Oceanside, CA to 29 Palms, CA (150+miles) today. Coming out of the mountains, I tried to pass another car at about 60 MPH. When I hit the gas, no power. It felt like the fuel was cut off. I pulled off to the side of the road, Vette stalled out, and then after 5 minutes fired up. I drove for about 15 minutes and it happened again. Turned the car off, waited five minutes, car turned over. This time I drove for about 5 minutes and the same problem. This time I waited 15 minutes and had the same results which was long enough to get me to base. I had no check engine light but did get the service traction control message. Not sure how to trouble shot. The engine coolant was at 196, oil at 210, and outside was 95. Any suggestion before I had back to Oceanside? Thanks.
I had this issue last week in my Speed Density Tuned C5Z06 and it was my IAT sensor acting up. I got a DIC for Service Traction Control and also Reduced Engine Power. not sure if you even have a IAT sensor but maybe it will help you.
do you have a fuel pressure gauge?... if so did you notice the pressure dropping when you were losing power?
I do not, just a boost gauge. When I tried to accelerate I can tell that no fuel was getting to the engine. The RPMs would not rise and then they would drop down to an idle. Felt like vapor lock.

yep that's what I was thinking and why I asked if you had a fp gauge... sounds like your fuel was getting cooked and caused the pump to cavitate and once it cooled off it would start up again... what type of fuel setup do you have?

Forgive my stupid answer, but I don't know. I had an after market Lingenfelter fuel pump. Not sure what kind. First time this has happened. It didn't seem to be that hot outside (95 degrees).
