Default Heat/AC Unit Front Panel

Hi folks. I just purchased a 1999 C5 Convertible from a forum member up in Michigan. It's in great shape, but does have a few small issues. I guess I added to the issues by trying to peel off some stick-on fake wood-grain from the dash.

I peeled the wood-grain from around the heat/AC control box, and unfortunately, the "decal" came off around the edges of the box. My control box is the older style manual type with the 3 big ***** and the 4 buttons underneath the *****. The controls work just fine.....but the box now looks pretty nasty! I'm trying to find a replacement front panel or decal. I'm not having much luck....the various parts outlets that I've spoken with say that I have to purchase a whole new unit! And the price is anywhere from $200 to over $600! That's just crazy.

Does anyone know of a vendor who sells the decals or front panels? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

Get a used unit for a lot less. Contact http://www.vettenuts.net/

He is a Forum vendor and has a lot of parts at great prices. If he does not have it there are other suppliers would should. Finding a manual unit is harder but not impossible.

There are not any OEM New spare parts for PARTS of modules. You have to purchase a new unit, used part or find someone that has a non functioning unit and part that one out.

When you call the used parts places, let them know that you are looking for the front panel.

Maybe they will have a broken unit with a good front panel that they will let go for less.

There are two different control heads, so in case they ask, tell them you have the "C60" AC system.

The other system is a "CJ2" and it's the automatic version.
