Default IAT sensor help

I have 04 C5 with Procharger P1SC. I also installed Alky methanol system. The problem was when methanol would spray the motor would bog down. My car is scheduled for a Dyno session tune on Oct 7th. also using a 2 bar map sensor instead of the MAF, but my original IAT is built into the MAF and my car was still using it. My tuner said I needed to get a different IAT or intake air temperature sensor and mount it on my intake tube before the methanol sprayer. I got a separate IAT from 00 Camaro SS, but a new one. I pulled up the wiring for both cars and both cars listed the same 2 wires even the same color. Tan for the hot or IAT sensor and Purple for the low resistance. I got the new IAT sensor mounted and wired up, but my car would barely idle and pressing the accelerater did nothing. What am I doing wrong? There is only 2 wires to hook. I double check the wiring to make to I had then correctly connected. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Actually read the HOT 5 VDC wire and male sure that you have 5 VDC.

Read your DTCs using the DIC and see what you have. If there are lots of DTCs clear them and then see what comes back.

polarity doesn't matter, you have the correct wires from your old harness so it doesn't matter which one goes to which on the new iat sensor... the reason your car bogs when meth sprays is because you were probably running super rich if your car isn't tuned for it yet... where did you install the new iat in relation to the meth nozzle?... you want the iat AFTER the meth nozzle and as close to the throttle body as possible... the reason you want it after the meth nozzle is so that you can see that the meth system is working by watching the iats drop when logging the car... if you put the iat sensor before the meth nozzle it will always see high iats and they will never drop on the logs since the meth is sprayed after the sensor

I originally had it setup with the methanol nozzel 6 inches before the MAF which contained the original IAT sensor built into it. I had it tuned by a guy and the methanol was supposed to be on the that tune, but my car has been giving me bank 1 and 2 rich codes. So i decided to change my SC pulley to smaller one and get redynoed by another guy that has been highly recomended by several people in my area. I went by and talked to him and he suggested I that I get the new IAT sensor and move so it would read before the methanol sparyer. He told me that when the methanol started spraying it was causing Havoc at the IAT sensor. I guess I need to do a little more research so I can make sure I have it installed correctly.
As far as the DTC's on the DIC I will check them and try what you said about clearing any and recheck it.

meth will definitely richen things up if too much is being sprayed or if the car isn't tuned for it... and the iat definitely needs to be downstream of the meth nozzle atleast 5" or so, that way you can see that the meth system is working... like I said if the iat is before the nozzle your iats will always read high and you won't know if the meth is doing its job... my iat is on the bottom of my charge pipe right near the throttle body and my meth nozzles are in the 10 and 2 o'clock positions just after the bend in the charge pipe

If it helps I believe you can use a AITS out of a Syclone/typhoon(91-93) or Turbo Grand prix (89-90) and it has a threaded brass housing. I used one on my Turbo Z34 setup so that it did not pop out under boost.

Two questions;
When are you activating your Meth? (what boost level)
Are you using a progressive system?

If you activate too early, you WILL get a bog (rich)
If you are using non progressive, you may have to delay it some more because it "dumps" meth suddenly.

It bothers me that the tuner would recommend the meth AFTER the IAT. Has he tuned with Meth before? You want to know TRUE IATs, and that's whatever it is after the Meth has activated.
