LS6 Valve spring failure preventative?
so just read that the LS6 was known to be made with possibly faulty valve springs which could end up being a big repair if they fail. Any thoughts on whether I should put in upgraded ones? What is a trusted brand? I do run on the track 2-3x per year.

You might want to wait until you do a cam switch or other motor work to replace the valve springs at the same time.
The defective springs were yellow. You can open your oil cap and look inside. You should be able to see some springs. If they are yellow then you might want to replace them.
I just replaced mine on my 2002 Z. I used the blue GM springs which have not had any problems.
