2001 C-5 Base Model
Hello -
Tried to find info here on CF; unable to. Today I noticed that my fog lights, rear side marker lights and tail lights fail to come on. I'm supposing they are all tied together somehow on a common fuse or relay? More specifically, I noticed that a few months ago, my fog lights would only come on only after usually driving a few miles. The dual switch (fog lights/ trunk release) DOES operate the hatch release, but I have no amber light on the switch anymore for the fog light activation.
Please help.
Thank you.
BTW: If I need to replace a relay, how in the hell do they remove? I've tried and I know I would break it before it would pull out.
I would like to focus on the rear markers and tail lights first. I need to know if the rear license plate lights work. They are on the same feed to the rear.
License plate lights are out. Back up light are out too. My 4 way flashers work. I had read somewhere that if it doesn't work, it can affect the lighting issue I have. ??? I have operating DRLs, headlights, turn signals, all interior lights (except dash lights) and brake lights.
Thanks.

Thank you sooooooo much for the great info!!! OK, if I need to replace a reley, how do they detach? Fuses are simple. Where do I find replacement relays at a cheap cost?
Thanks
John
Fricken Weird! Problem resolved? I went out into my garage a little while ago (dark out, garage lights off) and I see that all my Vette lights are on (except headlights). WTF? I opened my driver's door to find that I had accidentally left my light switch on the turn signal lever to the "parking lights" position. I had been turning the lever on & off several times seeing what was going on.
It had been in this position for over 24 hours! I now have ALL my lights back! I am presuming that: 1) a relay(s) may have energized or, 2) the contacts in the light switch made contact enough to run current to active the running lights. Maybe there is a damn ghost out in the garage... who knows. Now I hope the damn car starts!
