Part two..posted this question earlier but if you didnt see it, I think I need to get a new battery...How much should I expect to pay for a new one????? Any type of brand I should go with as well????? They tough to remove as well???? thanks for all your help! :chevy :)
Do a search and you will get a lot of posts about this. Having said that most of the guys use the OPTIMA red top or the GM gel type. Having researched this I think i will go with the Duralast, which is the no 1 in consumer reports and use a battery matt under it as insurance in case of a leak. The mats are only $5 through Ecklers or Mid America. Battery install is easy, need to disconnect negative terminal first and make sure everything is off to prevent sparking possibility. :yesnod:
If you have a COSTCO near you, the Optima Red Top can be had for $115.00 the last time I was there. I think the price at Pep Brothers, Interstate etc. is $130.00. No danger of acid leakage and very high CCA.

Re: How much to replace my battery??? (primetime)
I too bought an Optima Red Top from L.A.P.D. for $110 shipped to my door. This was at the end of last year. Check with Shawn at L.A.P.D. to see what specials they are offering.
