How much to replace my battery???
Part two..posted this question earlier but if you didnt see it, I think I need to get a new battery...How much should I expect to pay for a new one????? Any type of brand I should go with as well????? They tough to remove as well???? thanks for all your help! :chevy :) :cheers:

Do a search and you will get a lot of posts about this. Having said that most of the guys use the OPTIMA red top or the GM gel type. Having researched this I think i will go with the Duralast, which is the no 1 in consumer reports and use a battery matt under it as insurance in case of a leak. The mats are only $5 through Ecklers or Mid America. Battery install is easy, need to disconnect negative terminal first and make sure everything is off to prevent sparking possibility. :yesnod:

If you have a COSTCO near you, the Optima Red Top can be had for $115.00 the last time I was there. I think the price at Pep Brothers, Interstate etc. is $130.00. No danger of acid leakage and very high CCA.

I too bought an Optima Red Top from L.A.P.D. for $110 shipped to my door. This was at the end of last year. Check with Shawn at L.A.P.D. to see what specials they are offering.

Optima Red top at Costco for $99. When you buy, be sure to get a "gel" or "glass mat" type to eliminate the potential leak problem. :smash: :yesnod:
