Control Pad Won't Adjust Right Mirror - please help!
Just purchased an '03 and love it! New to the forum, so thanks for having me. I read "a hundred" threads, but could not find an answer to my question, so here goes:
My control pad will not move the right mirror in any direction; other one works fine. However, the memory function does adjust the mirror to whatever setting was last made (which is not a good one) when it did work. Should I suspect the control pad?
Thank you.
Probably the pad but pull your DIC codes from the dash and see if it shows anything. Not at home with the FSM to see if that issue might even throw a code or to look at possible diagnostics. Can do that later.
Shot in the dark, try to use the other Memory setting on the pad and see if you can make it work. I assume you are using just Memory #1. This would just be a temporary fix but it could allow mirror adjustment.
Lastly, you might try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes and see if a reboot does anything to help.

When my mirror controls were not working it turned out to be an oxidized four-wire star bus connector. A little sandpaper fixed it right up, along with all of the other controls that had stopped working because of it.

Thanks for the reply and advice. Not sure if I tried to use memory 2, but I will give it a shot. When these things happen, you just start pushing buttons and after a few minutes, ones ability to determine cause and effect are lost - know what I mean? Thanks again.
