2000 Corvette DIC Not working

I had my cluster out a few days ago but did not modify it. I did put leds in the dimmer **** area and the dic menu buttons. Now after putting it back in the DIC text is black and nothing is displaying. The buttons seem to work because when I press E/M it changes the HVAC temp from F to C. Anybody have any ideas? I took the cluster apart and all connections look good. Also checked fuses but they are fine too.
