rear view mirror LED
Riding passenger the other day and happened to notice that the rear view mirror has a msall yellow LED light in addition to the 2 white reading lights. What is the function of this light - did not find it mentioned in the owners manual.

Redundant? Yes. Have been driving for more than just a few years and have not needed an auxilliary light to work the dash. If I need to find something in the car, the little LED light does not really suffice.

I agree it's not the brightest light in the world, but more of an ambiance thing, or at least a subdued, unobtrusive light. It only shines straight down onto the console in the area of the cigarette lighter/cupholder, etc and I don't think it really designed to "find something" in the car.
