engine whine
Often, when I start the engine, I hear a sometimes steady, sometimes pulsating (1 or 2 times per second) high pitched whine. It continues in park, neutral, and low speed. Maybe noise masks it out at higher speeds. But it will shortly dissappear and stay gone. It doesn't appear to be a problem but I am curious.

Starter drive not disengaging from the flywheel. Try getting a piece of hose, hold 1 end by your ear and the other by the starter and have someone start the engine. If that's your problem, you should hear it clearly
