looking for a little help. recently noticed a vibration at 75 to 80. it comes and goes at a steady speed . its more like a tremor that comes and goes, i feel it more in the seat than anywhere else . stock zo6 wheels. recently i changed wheels and tires and the tremor is still there and the same intensity . if i wasn't the first owner i might not notice but i do. any one have a similar issue? any help where to look , or what to check. thanks in advance Larry
Have a convertible by chance? I noticed same issue over 70mph. Its not bad. I just thought I may be getting some resistence from the soft top at that speed.
Had aligment and tires balanced by my buddy and chevy mechanic. He said both needed it bad. Its not real bad the vibration. First time corvette owner here, so i really don't know if this is normal or not. i do notice I feel every bump on the road. I have been driving in tour mode. I'm not going to do anything about it at this point. My buddy couldn't find a problem with the car. He looked over it pretty good. Be interested to see what these guys say about this on here.
98 Manual trans, convertible.
thanks for the input but is an 04 z06 with 50k on it . don't drive it much but recently drove it more than normal , truck in the shop, so i started to notice things like this vibration .

I have the exact issue. 03Z just hit 50K. Bought the car with 22K on it a little over 2 years ago. It had after market wheels on it but I have since changed those. Exact same speed range.Fell it more in the seat also. More annoying than bad. It acts like a tire out of balance but that can't be it. My thought was that it might be something else in the drive train slighty out of balance but that was just a hunch.
did you ever figure it out? or you just living with it, my fear is is the beginning of something bad or out of whack.
Its been there since I bought it. Did'nt notice it for a week or so. Balanced the tires several times(tires were Michelin pilots). Went to an 18/19 combo Michelin's again. Its like right at 80-82 but thats just happens to be normal interstate spped for me anything 2-3 mph higher or lower nothing. Like i said had 22203 on it when I bought it as of today 50044. Has not changed one bit. To be honest I hadn't really thought about it in a while until you started this thread
Asked about this a while back and didn't get much info except wheel bearings, balancing, bad tire, etc. 2 different sets of tires and wheels, new wheel bearings, balanced twice, wheel alignment and still has it. Not bad but noticeable. Some roads more than others and more at the start of a run and not as noticeable into the drive. The only thing I haven't did anything with is the torque tube bushings or rubbers. It is a convertible also but I do notice It with either the top up or down. Baffling thing. Getting used to it though I guess. Thanks

Have you ever found the source of the problem? Mine is doing the same thing, the wheel bearings seem really good. Not sure where to look at this point.
