Default Problem! Need help please :) (Slave cylinder)

Okay long story short, removed LS6 from the top.

Left the bellhousing/ clutch on the block and pulled out.

Torque tube was still installed and supported.

Accidently pressed the clutch pedal to the ground while clutch /flywheel /bellhousing wasn't connected.

Did my work and reinstalled motor/ bellhousing into car and onto torque tube.. Didn't think to check the slave cylinder or anything.

After install was complete clutch pedal doesn't build pressure and I see clutch fluid leaking from the bell housing..

What's my course of action ?

New slave?

Remove trans/tube and bleed it first?

Sounds as though some one turned the slave bleed screw/nut some time while the engine,f/wheel , b/housing & clutch were out of the car.

How many hands were around this area when assembly was out?

Surely someone must remember messing with the bleeder screw/nut?

Do you have a quick bleeder installed onto the slave?

No one adjusted the bleeder, It coulid have become loose some how but I never checked, just my hands and my buddies hands.

I just ordered a Remote bleeder from tick performance.

Could the slave cylinder piston have pressed when I pushed the pedal in with nothing to give it resistance (clutch) ?

How can I check?

Pull the flywheel inspection cover to see where the leak in coming from using a flash light and mirror. Since you pulled the motor, you may have damaged the slave pressure line during engine pull or engine install. There are reliefs machined in the TQ Tube housing and Bell housing for the slave pressure line and bleeder, check the pressure line for damage in this area (red circles) in below photos. If you confirm line damage or slave leaking from the shaft, the slave will need to be replace…..

Awesome post Goose, I actually just purchased a brand new slave and throwout bearing just incase.. What is the best way to pull the Tube out to replace the slave?

I do not want to mess with the motor again.
