Scm 1658 hc

Had this Code pop up a couple times the past week and the Telescopic Steering wheel, mirrors, etc. won't automatically set. If I clear the code manually, everything starts working again instantly for a while (through several restarts).

Do I need to replace a Seat Control Module? Something else?

Not sure, Memory issues can be perplexing. One thing I always recommend to do first is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reboot everything like I am sure you may have done with a computer. At least it is free.

This started up again about a month ago and it is popping up almost every other time I start the car now. If I reset the history code it goes away for one or two restarts and everything works as it should for a while.

I just found a tutorial online on how to re-solder the cold soldered connections on the SCM circuit board, so may give that a try?

Is there an SCM under each seat or just the driver's seat?

Thanks, will try and figure out what the specs are on the relay in there. They look like they may be similar the window relay in the door modules.

Does anyone know what the replacement part number is I would need for a 2001 coupe with sport seats, memory and telescopic wheel?

Who might sell one?
