I am ready to buy a set of LED Taillights for my 1999 Vette, I can't decide if I want the Regular LED's or The Modified HALO lights. I prefer the Modified HALO. Can anyone tell me are there problems with the Modified ? I understand you might get Hyper Flash but I plan on buying the LED Hyper Flash Bypass Harness just wondering if they are as reliable as the Regular.
Another for JW Motoring. I have had mine for 3 years and no issues what so ever. One of my favorite mods. He has excellent customer service and great products.
Go with jwmotoring and get the modded. I bought mine from another vendor here, who swore a harness was not necessary. I had hyperflash, so he then changed his tune to say i needed his harness. Did not fix, and cust service went deaf. Jw's harness fixed all. Jw's price is a lot better too.

There are not now, nor have there been, any hyper-flash issues with these particular LED tail lights. There is a built in resistor on the back side of the housing that prevents it, and the internal modification that is performed to create the so-called "Halo" version does not change that.
It's entirely possible to get hyperflash with either so don't let that be your reasoning for not going with the halo's. My non halo tails hyper flashed from day one on the right side.
I got my LED tail lamps with the modded Halo from RadioFlyer and I've never had a problem with hyper-flash. The resistor is included in each housing so no extra harness is required.

As I said, depending on the particular product being installed here.
If discrete LEDS get installed into each taillight, hyper-flash is a distinct likelihood.
