Additional brake ducts added
I was wanting to do the same but I have driving lites installed on my Z06 and they interfere with where I need the 2.5" hose to go.
I was thinking of cutting into the stock ducts fwd of the wheel well panel and inserting the 2.5" hose right into the side of the stock duct. (Tire clearance prevents me from running the hose into the end of the duct)
With the stock duct installed I made some marks on the side of the stock duct where I wanted to cut the hole in the side of the stock brake duct:
I then cut a 2.5" hole in the side of the duct where I marked it:
I then installed the hose into the stock duct and installed the duct in the car
Pushed from the back of the stock duct to get enough hose thru:
Routed the hose in the wheel well like this. I raised the hose a little over the steering arms so that it will not contact the hose.
I didn't put the hose right up to the caliper, I wanted to leave room when I turn the wheel so that the hose does not contact the caliper.
Then some testing with my wind tunnel:
And I love the wind tunnel. What value can you achieve . . . Mach .8?
Any real world results yet on the track?

I should be getting some real testing on the setup in a few weeks.

I then secured the hose with another tie wrap. It still rubs a little, so I'll have to watch when making sharp turns. I took the car out for a ride and looked at the hose after making the turn into my driveway and into the garage. There is no evidence of wear on the hose.
