I am in the process of upgrading to 3.42 gears, SY3500 TC, Trans Cooler, programming, and Trans-go Shift Kit. I see the Shift Kit can be configured in four different settings. For those of you that have had this shift kit installed, which setting did you go with 1(street show off),2(heavy duty),3(pro-street), or 4(full race)?
i have a Trans-go Kit in my 99,and I have 3 washers in it. The next time I have trannie serviced and the filter changed,I am removing 1 washer.A bit much for me.the wheels "chirp" even when I am driving normal. If I go around a corner, ahe wheels "chirp".Goin' to 2 as soon as I can. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy
I was told you don't need a kit for 2000 or newer..... Is this correct??
I don't use one, but here is a quote from Yank!
Yank Performance Converters can achieve maximum performance and efficiency without the use of shift kits. Shift kits dramatically raise transmission line pressure to increase shift firmness. Increased shift firmness will not increase performance, but create unnecessary stress on the transmission and other drive-line components.
