Hello all and happy new year!!

THere is a senor located in front and slightly above #1 spark plug and behind the alternator. Is this knock sensor, if not what is it?

Coolant temp

Knock sensors are under the intake manifold in the valley cover.

Yes, they put the coolant temp sensor there so you can break it when you're wrestling a new set of headers into place.
