Have a 98 with a 408 stroker. Has aluminum 317 heads. Has a leak near a primary on passenger side. Want to replace this winter. Dont want this to be an issue in the future. Any recommendations on brand? Material to use? Car has off brand stainless headers. Thanks for any suggestions.
Made from multi-layered "dead soft" aluminum, these Seal-4-Good gaskets conform to the headers for the ultimate seal. These gaskets are virtually blowout and burnout-proof and are also totally reusable.

How long have they been on?
When they were installed did you tighten from center out, ~11FP the first run, then ~18FP 2nd time around?
If they are leaking prematurely, hopefully you don't have a warped flange. If so, take to a machine shop and have them lightly skim the flange.

All work was done prior to me purchasing car, which I did on here. I know assumptions are bad, but I think it was done right. A supporting vendor on here did most of the work and it all seems to be top notch. This is a nitrous car and it saw some track time before I purchased. It had a small tick when I got it and it just got to the point this summer to where it is annoying now.

Hello John,
Personally, I like Mr. Gasket. They're made with solid copper and I've installed them on Chevys and Fords with no problems.
I appreciate all the feedback. Now for the next question. If I order gaskets should I go with stock 98 corvette? I would assume since all research I've done says the 317 heads are round port also....
In the past I have always used stock GM f-body gaskets.
