Default Upgrading diff and torque converter, what else?

Well in about a month I will be going with an OEM 3.42 3 rib diff and probably a 4000 yank or FTI torque converter. I own a 2000 and just have basic bolt ons (Headers, full exhaust, intake). Car made 315 rwhp. The car will be drag raced a decent amount so I want to know what else I may need. The main reason I am doing all this is because when ice cold and in reverse (backing out of garage) a little trans fluid comes out. I figure to replace the seal for the trans as my research has shown that is the issue, and might as well upgrade these other things while they're out.

While I'm on a semi tight budget if everything is out I do not want to skip over potentially essential items. The car only makes 315 rwhp, but will be cutting ~1.6X 60 fts hence my concern. I have nitto NT05Rs so I'm not too concerned about traction. What parts of the drive train would you consider upgrading on my base model 2000

You will need a beefer trans and a cooler for it with that 4000 rpm stall.

Forgot to put in I was gonna get a cooler (Any reccomendations on a specific model? A lot of the ones I find people talking about on here are $200+ and that just seems a little much to me to spend). And I would think at 315 rwhp the trans itself would still be okay?

BigGun is talking about the heat generated by the higher stall converter...you will kill your trans quicker without it.

I used the B&M 70266. About $100. But you need some SS braided hose and AN fittings.

I eliminated the cooler in the radiator.

Since you will have the Torque Tube out, might be wise to at least inspect the rubber couplers.

A good tuner can firm up the shifts, or you can install a Trans Go shift kit.

BTW, both my suggestion for the cooler and shift kit will be controversial. :-)

I do realize that the converter will make the trans not last as long. However, this isn't my first stalled 4l60e trans, just mostly looking for more suggestions like the rubber couplers in the torque tube. As I am learning quickly coming from the fbody/GTO world, the corvette has many more components and is much more complex therefore I need to try to find all the weak points while I have everything out.

Also appreciate the B&M part number. I plan on having my tuner firm the shift points up he seems to prefer that over the shift kit.

The converter won't hurt the Trans with a trans cooler is what I think he was trying to say. Pre trans cooler with a 3200 stall my trans temp would quickly hit 220 in stop and go. After trans cooler install the hottest I see is 180

I run the same cooler with my 3200 yank converter.. For cooler + home made braided hose/connectors/adapters/brackets I ended up paying somewhere around $200, but it's money VERY WELL spent.

$200 is nothing compared to a new trans

Good deal. I also have a 2000. My trans had issues, so I found a used one and sent it out for rebuild.
I also upgraded the diff output shafts. C6 Z06 parts aren't too expensive and a good upgrade. The C6 Z06 posi clutch discs with the tougher belville springs also a nice upgrade.

I managed to sneak mine into the tens. Once. Must have been a tailwind. :-)

Where are you located?

Ron looks like I may be going with C6 Z06 out put shafts then. Are they are a direct fit? And I live in the northeast, an hour away from Atco so I will have opportunities at -1500 DA weather for some good times. 10s is very impressive! I'm shooting for around 11.50 for mine. It went 12.51 in +400 DA on the current set up so I think with the diff and torque converter, skinnies, minor weight reduction, and better air that time should be achievable.
