It's alive! I will try and post an idle video tonight...

I found a LS7 injector file on the HP Tuners forum, and everything els was pretty straight forward...
There was an issue with the cam sensor wires that needed to be flipped and the MAP sensor had a bad connection...

I did some idle tuning last night and got her to idle at a solid 850rpm with crisp of idle throttle response!

The -4cc valve relieve in the pistons was probably to blame for the low dyno numbers originally. I pulled the heads and shaved .030 , ported the intake and throttle body and retuned it.
She feels a little stronger now, hope to get back on the dyno again before next season.

Sounds great! Put her back on the dyno and see what she does. My first numbers were 484/486. I pulled off the high flow cats and gained a total of 16hp throughout the range with a total of 6 up top. So 490/XXX as the torque had shot all over the place for that final run. My FAST and TB are also unported. I potentially could see 500rw with good port job, but honestly I don't know if I feel like chasing numbers.

What did you end up doing here?

Congrats on the new swap!

Congrats on the new swap!
What looked like a return line was the evap line... I ended up just blocking it of for the ls3 swap.

Thank you😉

Ah, makes sense. I'm about to do an LS3 swap too and have been reading up on the fuel return line issue.

Any other words of advice for someone who has done it successfully?

I tried sending a PM but your Inbox is full. Did the drain lines solve the pooling issue? Can you give details on the specific parts used to connect the heads to the oil pan? Who did the machine work on the heads/pan to connect the lines?

Is this LS3 stock displacement? I must have missed where you stated if it was bored/stroked or not o.o

Do you know if putting the LS1 knock sensors in the valley will still work? I see you went with the side mount. I am wondering which my shop is going to go with.

I have my LS3 being put into my car right now, very excited/

Did you get dyno results after milling the head?
