Default Catch can install question 1999 Coupe

Hello - I bought an Elite Engineering CC (new, from the EE website) to install on my high mile '99. Go out to install it this morning - and first thing I notice is that the bracket does not line up properly with the two pre-tapped holes on the right side head. No way this will go on correctly. Has anyone run into this ? Is there an alternate bracket to use ? I went to the EE website, but did not see one, so - kinda stumped at the moment.

Will the bracket not adjust more horizontally to allow the bracket to align with the hole. Looking at it I guess if you did that it would push the can downward and bottom out on something. Maybe a mute point but can you just use the one bolt, this thing is pretty light and has not moving parts so it should stay in place with the one bolt??? Good luck

Just found it - LOL .... there were two more outboard pre-tapped holes that I did not initially see on the head that were totally obscured with gunk. A little compressed air exposed 'em and bracket and CC went on perfectly. Job all done and looks great. Thanks for the suggestion though to go with the one bolt - thats what I was going to do until I found the other pre-tapped holes.

Just curious as to why u thought u needed the can after all these yrs., i am trying to determine if i really need on or is it just another gaget. Where r the connection points, thanks

I decided to add the CC because while installing my CAI I noticed some oil in the TB. Not excessive, but I thought if I could do something, then I should. Adding the CC seemed to be a relatively low dollar, low risk corrective action to take. Also - as my DD and with high mileage, I am curious to see what the CC will catch.

pull your throttle body off and look inside or pull the intake off and look inside the ports of the intake and heads... if you have left it untouched most likely it is covered in oil buildup, that is where this can comes into play... it helps keep the oil ingestion through the intake to a minimum
