I am almost postitive that these tires for auto x are made from much harder rubber compound vs. drag wheels and would not hook up well at the drags at all.
I am sure some others will chime in here confirming or disagreeing with my honest opinion.

To really hook up, the sidewalls need to be albe to flex to widen the contact patch when you launch. 18's won't do that adequately. Your best options are ET streets on 16" wheels (what I'm doing) or BFG drag radials mounted on 17" wheels (more expensive and less bite than ET streets).
Road race tires may give you a little more bite than the stock radials, but probably not much. JMO.
