MT Drag Radial Choice
I currently run Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial II DR's and need to replace them soon. MT has introduced a new DR the "ET Street R". Does anyone have information on the new tire? Is it a better choice?

If they are anything like the Pro radials, they won't last to long with regular street driving. I'd guess couple thousand miles depending on your driving habits.

Let me add the car is 95% drag raced and trailered to and from the track so street performance is irrelevant.

I am in the same position as you. I was running a radial 245 on the stock 18' rim that was good for 1.55 60' times. The only time they would spin always on a poorly peeped track. I added power this year and put a 295 radial on the factory 17' wheel but haven't made a pass on them yet. If I would have seen the R tire before I bought my current tires I would have gotten the 305 R

I throw in my mickeys for dig racing. I've yet to see this R model. Just looked it up. If they improved on the last tire they will be nothing short of phenomenal
