I purchased a set of Koni FSD a year or so ago. They are great shocks and I like the ride, but after reading many, many reviews and comments after that purchase, should I need shocks again I would go with the C6Z. Too many guys on here swear by them and they are a few hundred $$ cheaper.
I still love my Bilstein HD's. Great shock for a C5 with stock height and springs. Nothing better out there for DD street driven car IMHO. Stiff but not bone-jarring.
But, I do here that the DRM valved Bilstein are amazing. I wonder how much stiffer they are when compared to the HD's and not the Sports?
Another C6 Z shock vote here. I put them on after my C5 Z shocks started feeling the 100,000 miles on them. They were cheap at Rockauto and seem just as good as the C5's they replaced.
I did get in touch with DRM shocks; they still had some left from the last group buy for $450; I think he still had 3 sets. Now if this snow will just melt!! Spring is on the way though.
DRM valved Bilstein All the way. I am very pleased with mine. They corrected the not-so-nice points if my z while I noticed an improved ride. I don't have any more bump stear. They plant the rear tires and the front end has better feel and "turn in".
I also had the C6 Z06 shocks and did not like them. I took them off and put my barely used OEM shocks back on and the ride is much more comfortable over rough roads. When time comes I will try the Bilstein's. How do the DRM's ride? The C6 Z06 shocks were too firm for my liking. I was thinking Bilstein HD which are OEM spec ride.
