Fuel Gauge Going Wild!!!
I just filled my car up today, so I was surprised when I was driving tonight that, all of a sudden, my fuel gauge needle went from full to empty, the dic flashed "Low Fuel" and the Check Gauges light came on. I stopped the car and let it sit for a few minutes. When I started it again, everything appeared to be back to normal. I drove an additional 50 miles without any reoccurances.

Same thing has happened to me and many other people.
It is a faulty fuel sender unit. Just take it into the dealer and they will replace it under warranty.

Its going to happen again soon or later. Take it in for Fuel sensor replacement warranty. While you're at it have them replace both sensor in fuel tank.

Yeah, happened with mine. I took it in and they said it was just a software upgrade. Uploaded the new software and it has been fine since. They didn't tell me they replaced the fuel sending unit.

Had this happen to me when I was under warranty and had it fixed last April... There is a TSB on this and it is a very common occurance with the C5 and could cost over $700 to get it fix. There are some who have done this repair on their own for much less in the event you don't have any extended warranty...

I have a '98 Coupe with 27,000 miles that is out of warranty. Any suggestions what I can do or where I should take it (eastern MA)?
