Can someone help before I have to take the car to the shop $$$$.
Most every time I start my 03 vette the computer tells me to pull the key and wait 10 seconds and re-start the car. Is this something simple or must I take the car to the shop for a costly analysis ?

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO A DEALER FOR THIS ISSUE!!!!!!!
Is this a manual transmission car?????
If you do not "pull the key...." can you drive the car or does it stall immediately?????
What happens when you try to turn the wheel with no key in the ignition?? With effort you can turn the wheel at least 1/2 a turn?? Wheel is locked and cannot be turned??
When was the last time you had the battery tested???
Is the carpet in the passenger foot well wet??
Suggest that you google "Complianceparts" and read about their LMC5. You will need to order and install one to permanently eliminate the C5 Column Lock symptoms......

starting up 10 second delay
Car is a 6 speed manual trans.
If you try to drive the car it will only go about 6 feet or maybe 10 mph.
I put a new battery in about 3 months ago.
The passenger side foot well is dry. I also checked under the hood all around the battery and it is dry and the steering wheel is locked it will not move till you try to start the car.
