EXHAUST LEAK?
Yesterday, while driving next to a wall on the driver's side of my car, I heard an odd ticking noise, which sounded like it was coming from the exhaust system. It pretty much sounds OK in regular driving, but when I am next to a wall or car, I can hear the ticking noise at the low end of the power band. Is this an exhaust leak? What is the process for checking? Is it a simple visual inspection? Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks in advance.

The welds in the flanges that hold the exhaust system together are most likely bad. They have a real problem getting the ehaust to stay welded.

I had an exhaust leak that the dealer took care of per TSB on shimming the exhaust with some washers. It pretty much took care of it, but i can still hear it with the windows up and the radio off.
As previously mentioned, there were also problems with the exhaust flanges on the driver side only.
