I'm having trouble with my interior lights of my C5 2000 Vette.
Today I added an OEMVETTE, amplifier and new speakers to my car, as well as sound insulated everything.
After all of this, the car now is having an issue where the interior trunk lights, rear-view mirror map lights all won't turn off normally. They turn off eventually (the 20 or so minute protection timeout).
Make sure you didn't rotate the dash light dimmer switch to the interior lights on position. Don't remember if it's full cw, or ccw but one or the other will do it.

I'm ashamed to admit that it was an extra piece of insulation that got stuck in the rear hatch latches.
This caused the hatch to not completely close, forcing the interior lights on!
Anyway, it's all working great now. Thanks everyone for the advice!

This saved me lol.
Thanks to you and Bill.
