Default 97-98 fuel system conversion

I want to swap my 99 returnless fuel system over to a 97-98 one.
Does anyone who has done the conversion have a parts list?

I am not aware of any difference in the design except in 1999 the passenger fuel sender was changed and is different (now 3 wires instead of 4). If you want a 97-98 design then you are into wiring changes and PCM issues.

Some engine delivery fuel is still returned to the passenger tank and a jet pump then transfers fuel to the driver side. The design of all C5's deplete the passenger tank fist and then the driver side.

Forgot to mention that there are differences in where the FPR is located from 99 to 97-98 and that you may have a pulse damper. Not sure when they went to a pulse damper on the fuel rail. They should not relate to whether fuel is returned to the passenger tank.

Thanks for the posts,

I was interested in doing the swap of the 98 rails and feed/return lines with the reg and filter separate for my supercharger application. It is said to swap to a return style setup you can run more hp.

I may just run all new stuff since i'll be switching to E85 anyways...

Interesting. I'm curious how the change affects flow and/or pressure but you don't need to waste your time bringing me up to speed. I am just curious as engineers are.

If you have a link or write up on it I would be interested in that.

Fyi, 97/98's also used bigger injectors. I suspect that is why they can pick up more bhp with a decent intake.
