I lowered my car about 2 weeks ago and I am not happy with the way my fronts sits. In the back I can fit 2 fingers in between the tire and the fender. I want the front to sit like the back. Can I get by with just cutting the bushing 2/3 or sgould I remove the bolts. If I need to remove the bolts does that cause any long term damage? Thanks, Kaley
I know I would have to remove the bolts to cut the bushings but I have seen guys remove them completly to lower their car further. Yes I did turn them as far as they would go. The car did lower about an inch but the back is sitting lower then the front. That might be because I used longer bolts. I like how it sits in the back and would like the front to sit the same. Thanks, Kaley
I knew what you meant. :D Here is my car with the front cut and the back lowered with longer bolts. It is a great look!
...and don't ask about the exhaust, that was done by magic! :D
You both have sweet looking cars. I love the stance on both of them. How harsh is the ride if you take the bolts out completly? Wouldn't it cause long term damage by having the leaf spring just resting there? Nasty, what size rims are you using in the front? They look bigger then the stock 17's. Thanks, Kaley
Kaley I have 19" fronts with 275-30-19 tires. I have had the bolts out for a year with no problems. I have lowered a lot of vettes. Most of the time I leave 1/3 of the bushing on there cars. If you were local I would be glad to help
Okay guys I just finished cutting the bushing on my front end. It looks so awesome. The front and back look the same now so my car doesn't appear to be driving up hill. Thanks for helping me with my decision. I would post pics but I have no clue how.
