Default LS3 block into my C5Z

Can anybody enlighten me what I'll need to do in order to complete this swap? It'll be a LS3 based 416 so it'll have the 24x wheel on the crank... I've got my nice double roller and melling pump now, will that transfer over? What happens with the cam timing at that point? I know I'll need a MAP extender which is fine cuz I have a 102 and running long injectors with ls2 rails.. and then I'll need the knock sensor extenders cuz they're on the sides of the block now...

Looks like you already know all the issues. Not sure on oil pan with a cross member though. I used the stock batwing pan, which is better anyway.

I think I've got it sorted out. The new style knock sensors should thread in the sides of the block using the racetronix extenders. I purchased an LS3 front cover with sensor that will work with the extender as well. My batwing and pickup will work. Only things I'm iffy on is my melling pump, nice true double roller set, Rear and valley covers...

Your rear cover will work, but you'll need an LS3 valley cover. Melling will bolt right up too. Since it's a 416 you'll probably need a new windage tray or space your existing tray to clear the crank. If the new block comes with an LS3 oil pan and windage tray use them, the advantages of the bat wing pan are internet myth.

You won't need extenders. Just tap the holes in the block. It's barely anything.

You will need to:

Drill and tap sides of the block for relocating the knock sensors.

MUST use 1X cam gear set up

Must notch the passenger side engine mount to clear the 3rd bolt boss for AC.

Knock/cam wiring harness/map harness (when using FAST 102)/throttle body harness (you need to use LS2/NW 102) since the intake manifold has 4 bolt set up for TB. Casper has everything you need.

We have done this swap many times.

Thanks for chiming in, guys. So I can't run my current timing set? Even tho I'm still using my C5 PCM? I've already gotten the LS3 cover with sensor... also a double roller doesn't fit with the LS3 cover?

Make sure your timing chain is for 1X (not 4X) and you can use it. You will need to clearance the front cover if you use double roller timing chain. The kit should come with spacers for the oil pump.
