Default Stud or bolt????

As a glutton for punishment, I'm going to attempt to install some "old style" Kooks headers on my 03 Z. Having heard how hard these are to install, will I have room to get them around header studs?

What's everyone's opinion on stud vs. bolt?

On the earlier version, I'd just go ahead and use bolts. Why go asking for trouble?
I've had the earlier version for a number of years using bolts (mine are 1 7/8" size), and they have been completely trouble-free. I highly recommend using the OE steel gaskets. Durability has been excellent as well.

It's really easy to strip the threads with stock bolts. I bought ARP studs the first time I had the exhaust manifolds off, and have since dropped/pulled my headers 3 times. The studs are super-easy, and simplify the header installation. I had older design LG 1-3/4 pro.

He's got the earlier Kooks, not LGs, and I think he's concerned with installation ease, since the early Kooks were notorious for being a PITA to install.

Yes, I'm worried about how tight this install with be and with studs sticking out, will I be able to maneuver the flange around them as I wrestle these headers around. I got a great deal on these headers but since then, I've been reading about what a PITA these things are to install.
