coolant temp wires
I pulled the engine on my 01 am reinstalling and some how I have misplaced the wires to sensor it is a 2 wire sensor anyone know what color the wires are and where they come out of the harness

I can't recall the colors (suspect it's simple black and white or purple and white), but they come out of the wiring harness that runs to the alternator - if it's the sensor that's on the block behind the alternator.

Oreilly Auto Parts sells a connector pigtail, complete with butt splices if you need it for about $6. I had to replace my connector as the wires got pulled out of the connector and were making intermittent contact with the sensor. The computer didn't like that.
