I think for the double din and plug and play was around 700 maybe cheaper then I added everything after so maybe 1500? he has a crap load of packages from inexpensive to I have money to burn. I like my music loud and chest thumping bass and I got it.

Call Dennis at Double D... unless your a very picky audiophile, the factory system sounds pretty good IF your not using the FM transmitter. They make a plug and play Peripheral PXDP PXHGM2 Chevrolet Corvette 97-04 iPod Adapter
up grade speakers and your set!
But to use this one you have to have the CD changer it just uses the wires from the changer....still plays through the factory head unit...

That's why I posted this...

Yup, it is an awesome place... I would be a C5 idiot if it wasn't for the forum. Have fun and good luck. Call Dennis he is awesome and won't pressure you at all, and will answer any and all questions you might have about audio and what you can do in a C5

Just a thought--have you tried a new magazine? They are pretty cheap, and the magazine is more prone to failure than the internals of the unit . . .

No I haven't. It loads up just fine. The player just won't spin the CD.

slightly different question.

I removed my cd changer since I was not using it.

There are 4 bolts sticking out from where the brackets were connected to the car. Is there a way to remove those? I don't want to cut them off in case one day I decide to sell the car and return it to stock. (I left the wiring harness for the cd changer for that reason as well.)
