Default clutch

I wondering what clutch i should run?
I'm doing a cam, CAI, full exhaust, tune, and maybe 100 shot.
I plan on doing a full trans build down the road but I'm wondering for now what clutch should/will work for my hp range? Do i need to do a torque tube upgrade as well?
Can i run a clutch that is over kill and not hurt the rest of the trans or anything else? I would like to buy a clutch i can still use with the built trans and more hp down the road. I do plan on doing a ls3 swap down the road.

First off,,, you need to always post the YEAR of the C5. On some things, it makes a BIG difference. Example (the torque tube)

Sorry to say,, just beefing up the trans, isn't going to relieve you of drivetrain issues.

Here's what I did: My GOAL was 450 RWHP. I wanted to eliminate clutch, TT and differential issues. I installed a SPEC Twin Disk clutch, new pilot, throw out bearing and installed a remote bleeder.
I removed my perfectly good MN12 and installed a C5 up-graded MN12 T-60/60 conversion and I up-graded the differential with C6 output shafts, clutches beleview springs and spider cross shaft. I also installed a Tick Master Cylinder

I also installed a ECS Differential/transmission brace and a PFADT differential mount.

If you have a 97-2000 C5, you have a small coupler TT. If you have a 2001+ you have a large coupler (much preferred) coupler TT. Regardless, you have to make sure that the TT bearings and couplers are 100%.

I did a little overkill but,, its dependable and works without a hitch.

NOTE & WARNING! If you do any clutch install, pay very close attention with BALANCING and DO the proper measurements for installing the CORRECT thickness shim between the slave cylinder and TT. Mine didn't need any shims.

However, I did have to off set balance my new fly wheel to the old fly wheel off set balance.

Here are some post for you to read on the differential up-grades. Its an inexpensive way to get some hard parts in the rear.

For a clutch that is "over kill and won't hurt the knee" I would recommend the Mantic 9000 twin. The pedal is the same as stock yet it can hold 1010ft lbs of TQ.
More then you need, the Mantic single would fit your needs, but the twin has a better pedal and will also have longer life with twice the clutch material.
We have a special going on that includes the Clutch/flywheel assembly, hardware, pilot bearing, slave/throw out bearing, clutch bleeder kit and shipping. PM me for pricing.
We can also put a package price together for you if you would like a trans brace with it at the same time. (thanks Bill!)

Take a look at the Monster LT1-S street twin. It's an organic twin disc that drives like stock, will support N20, and has a 1 year warranty no matter how its driven.
