I think I have a cheap solution to the gas cap o-ring failure. I didn't want to pay for a whole new cap but found this o-ring that I think will fit. It costs $6.40 with shipping (shipping was $6.00). If some vendor picked up a few hundred of these, I'm sure you could make your money back.
Here are the pics of the old broken ring and the new one. The old one has a groove all the way around it and the new one is solid. I'll try it out and see if the code stops setting and report back in a few weeks.
