Auto trans fluid change questions
I just bought my "new" 1998 c5. Came with very little information on prior maintenance, so trans fluid may have been changed last month or never.
I would prefer to know what I'm getting into before I jack up the car.
What else will I need to have to get a trans oil change done, after I buy pan gasket, filter and oil (Dexron III,I assume)?
How difficult is it to access the oil level plug? Socket type needed for that plug?
Best way to refill? I'm guessing there won't be a lot of room back there.
Best way to get the level correct on the first shot? So I don't have to drive car to get fluid hot and then recheck.

Is this an A4 or manual trans? Makes a difference. It's not hard but you need the car in the air on jack stands or a lift. Bolts are metric 10 or 12 mm if I have it right.
